Do you remember the fluttering men’s robes that appeared on the Netflix K-drama series “Kingdom” that was aired all over the world? Foreigners who were captivated by the unique attire that appeared in the drama fell in love with the beauty of the Korean traditional clothing Hanbok and gat. After watching the K-drama series Kingdom, many foreign netizens began wondering about the robe, gat, and the gat string, more than the actual series! What’s more, the K-hat “gat” was sold on  Amazon, one of the world’s largest online stores.  This shows just how much people fell in love with Korean culture. Also, K-POP stars like BTS and Blackpink started to wear clothing that remind us of Hanbok on stage, increasing the level of interest in Korean traditional garments around the world. In particular, videos of idol groups who dance in Hanbok at major locations in Korea, such as Gyeongbokgung Palace, have recorded amazing views and become popular.
