KOREA CONTENTS WEEK The Spirit of fastening one's Belt to Resume Battle 'Kkum'


Korean Culture and Information Service (KOCIS)’s KOREA CONTENTS WEEK 
is the leader in sharing the beautiful Korean culture with the world!

KOREA CONTENTS WEEK offered various online events and contests over social media 
filled with unique elements of Korean culture including Hanbok, Hangeul, and traditional games. 
Also, the festival has released unique and diverse contents 
featuring many aspects of Korean culture, from the modern to the traditional.

The numerous Korean cultural contents and events introduced by KOREA CONTENTS WEEK 
have received great love from people around the world.


KOREA CONTENTS WEEK 
has introduced a total of five official videos 
titled “Meot,” “Su:m,” “Salm,” “Eol,” and “Kkum” 
in the <Feel; KOREA CONTENTS> section.

During the month of February, 
the official videos of KOREA CONTENTS WEEK featuring 
keywords that represent Korea and the Korean people were released in sequence.

To allow everyone around the world to enjoy Korean culture easily at any time and any place,
KOCOWEEK has released five official videos to take another meaningful step forward.


Among the official videos of KOREA CONTENTS WEEK,
“Kkum” is the fifth and final video.
Its subtitle is “The Spirit of Fastening One’s Belt to Resume Battle.”

KOCOWEEK’s official video “Kkum,” featuring Taekwondo, Korea’s symbol and traditional martial arts,
tells of KOCOWEEK’s dream with the story of a young Taekwon girl.

A young girl, who aspires to be a professional Taekwondo athlete, 
is about to fall into despair as her kicks do not improve as much as she wants, even after practice.
At that moment, she gains confidence from her future self that is shown in a webtoon, 
and with the kick of hope of becoming closer to her dream (kkum), she is able to advance to the global stage.

The dream to enter the global stage with Korean culture 
is the dream of KOREA CONTENTS WEEK.


Taekwondo is a martial art that is very commonly practiced in Korea even at a young age, 
and a globally-loved sport that is enjoyed in 206 countries around the world.

The official video “Kkum” describes Taekwondo, a distinct part of Korean culture, with a unique story.
It is filled with the Taekwondo spirit of fastening one’s belt to resume battle 
and the enduring spirit of the Korean people.

“Kkum” also includes webtoons and animations that add even more fun to the video.
