Korean Culture Scene, Introduction of events by Korean Cultural Centers (Vietnam/Thailand/Hong Kong)
The ‘Korea Culture Scene,’ a global Korean culture festival, co-hosted by the Korea Culture and Information Service and the Korean Cultural Centers in overseas countries
The Korean Culture Scene 2022 is co-organized with the Korean Cultural Centers in six countries and regions including Belgium, Hungary, Hong Kong, the UK, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Today, let us introduce the various programs of this global Korean culture festival that will be performed in Vietnam, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
Let’s check out what exciting events are scheduled from September to December in the Korean Culture Scene of these three countries and regions?

The ‘Ho Chi Minh Korean Culture Day’ will be held in the late October in Ho Chi Minh city, the economic and cultural capital of Vietnam.
It is expected that the event will provide more opportunities for the locals to experience Korean culture in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Korea-Vietnam Diplomatic Relations and Hangeul Day.
As part of the Korean Culture Scene festival, a variety of Korean culture events are scheduled to take place in the universities and major tourist areas in Ho Chi Minh for three days from October 27 (Thu) to 29 (Sat).
The events are designed to promote Hangeul and Korean literature such as through the Korean Writing Contest, Korean Culture Golden Bell, Korean Literature Reading Contest, and Meeting with Korean authors. And through the Korea-Vietnam Cultural experience booth and exhibitions, we will offer a chance to experience both modern and traditional Korea including Korean street foods, Hanbok experience, traditional plays and much more.
Amid the rage of K-POP in Vietnam, K-POP random dance events and SNS events will also be held. We hope you can show your interest and support.

The ‘Korean Week,’ a Korea-Thailand cultural festival for exchange of traditional/contemporary culture between the two countries is going to be held in Thailand for you to experience various and colorful aspects of Korean culture though the Korean Culture Scene.
During this Korea-Thailand cultural festival co-hosted by Thailand government organizations, you can enjoy various cultural programs such as performances and experience booths.

As a response to the increased interest in Korean webtoons in Thailand, some events and displays relating to Korean webtoons are on the schedule.
There will be various displays and events and the launching of webtoons from September to November in a bid to introduce Korean webtoons while an opportunity for exchanges with local webtoon artists in Thailand will be provided.
You can meet unique Korean webtoons through hands-on displays that will make you feel like you have entered the world of webtoons, meetings with Korean webtoon artists, introduction of webtoons, and promotion of dramas.
Especially, the webtoon featuring Korean War veterans that was co-produced by the Korean Cultural Centers and Kakao Webtoon and that is to be launched in late September is already attracting lots of attention and is greatly anticipated.

In Hong Kong, K-POP specialized events are scheduled to be held as the main events of the Korean Culture Scene.
The Festive Korea, one of the biggest Korean culture festivals in Hong Kong, that has been held every year since 2011, showcases traditional and contemporary Korean culture in various areas such as performances, films, and food.
This year, a TV program with the theme of K-POP will be produced and aired every Saturday for five weeks from October 29.
You can find out everything about K-POP in Hong Kong through K-POP Community Festival in Hong Kong, displays of K-POP cheering sticks, and video shooting of K-POP cover dances performed at landmarks in Hong Kong.
Also, the ‘Korea Square,’ a market place where you can experience Korean culture in every possible way, will be set up during the festival and will attract K-POP fans’ attention in Hong Kong - so this will be a great opportunity to promote Korean businesses.
