Kculturescene in Belgium, SOUND KOREA 2022: Information about the concerts taking place from November to December


The Korean Culture and Information Service’s Korean Culture Scene (Kculturescene) has been promoting various aspects and charms of Korean culture.

One of the Kculturescene events “SOUND KOREA 2022: K-pop to K-Classic” that’s been taking place in Belgium since this September continues through December.

As a journey to find out about different kinds of dynamic Korean music, various concerts, and linked events that offer the audience a chance to experience various genres of Korean music ranging from classical music to modern music, folk songs, jazz, and Gugak have been getting underway with great success.
 

The Kculturescene “SOUND KOREA 2022” will continue to promote various kinds of Korean music in November and December.

<SOUND KOREA 2022: Baudouin de Jaer & Joonyoung Kim>

This collaborative concert by Baudouin de Jaer and Joonyoung Kim will be taking place in the Korean Cultural Center in Belgium and its outside concert hall from November 16 to 25.

Joonyoung Kim who plays a traditional Korean stringed instrument named “Geomungo” is going to collaborate with the composer Baudouin de Jaer, and they will present and delight the audience with the deep and experimental world of music.

This performance combining contemporary music with traditional instruments is expected to create a fantastic harmony.

<SOUND KOREA 2022: Ramhon Jeong U Choe>

As part of the Kculturescene in Belgium, a concert by Ramhon Jeong U Choe who is versatile as a composer, guitarist, philosopher, literary critic, and film composer is taking place in the Korean Cultural Center in Belgium on December 2.


<SOUND KOREA 2022: Kang Eun-il Haegeum Plus>

Kang Eun-il Haegeum Plus, one of the most representative performers on the Korean music scene, is holding a concert at the Theatre Marni on December 6.

Kang Eun-il Haegeum Plus is one of Korea’s top music bands that perform a new style of music created by the harmonious combination between traditional Korean instruments and western instruments using traditional Korean music as its text.

Please come and enjoy the special sounds created by Kang Eun-il Haegeum Plus, a musical messenger of unity and harmony between the east and the west.


<SOUND KOREA 2022: Ji Young Lim & Hayoung Choi>

The violinist Ji Young Lim and the cellist Hayoung Choi who won the Queen Elisabeth Competition, one of the world’s top three music competitions, are returning to Belgium and putting on an amazing performance on December 17.

The first ever collaboration by the two promising players Ji Young Lim (violin, 2015 winner) and Hayoung Choi (cello, 2022 winner) is a concert that you must not miss this winter.
