The KOCIS’s Korean Culture Scene's touring performance in the UK (Nov. 14)


The Korean Culture and Information Service’s Korean Culture Scene has been holding a variety of Korean culture festivals in a bid to promote various aspects of Korean culture around the world!

The Korean Culture and Information Service has been engaging in many different activities in collaboration with the Korean Cultural Centers abroad so as to promote beautiful Korean culture around the world and expand cultural exchanges with other countries.

Especially this year, in an effort to promote unique aspects of Korean culture, the Korean Culture and Information Service’s Korean Culture Scene's touring performance and exhibition are taking place.

The touring performance <Meet the World, Center of the World> that took place with huge success in Thailand and Vietnam is now being held in London, UK on November 14.


The special touring performance hosted by the Korean Culture and Information Service’s Korean Culture Scene <Meet the World, Center of the World> is a crossover fusion performance of Korean breaking and traditional Korean music Gugak.

<Meet the World, Center of the World> is a special performance designed to celebrate the adoption of breaking as an official sport at the Paris Olympics 2024.

You can experience this dynamic performance of the world-class K-breaking mingling with exciting Gugak rhythms in London.


The Korean Culture and Information Service’s Korean Culture Scene's touring performance <Meet the World, Center of the World> consists of six stages with different themes.

The powerful beat boxing, breaking, popping, and locking that are performed to Gugak create unique stage shows that will fascinate everyone around the world.

The b-boying teams ‘Artistreet’ and ‘Gamblerz Crew’ belonging to KFD and the fusion Gugak team ‘Jeong Ga Ak Hoe’ will collaborate in the <Meet the World, Center of the World> that’s taking place in EartH (EartH Theatre) on November 14, at 7PM.

The unique Korean breaking culture that’s been established as one of the major pop cultures will be combined with various genres of music such as Gugak and K-Pop and will be presented to the audience in the UK.


The breaking team ‘Artistreet,’ one of the two breaking teams that are participating in the touring performance in the UK, will put on a collaborative stage show with DA’ONEZ and TUMP.

The team Artistreet tries to turn b-boying into art, and its members won the 2021 Breaking K and made the first ever national team for the Hangzhou Asian Games 2022.

Furthermore, the team is one of the best Korean breaking teams with a career that includes winning several international competitions such as Battle of the Year France 2021.

Come to the Korean Culture and Information Service’s Korean Culture Scene's touring performance and enjoy Artistreet’s stage show that maximizes visual and auditory effects through the harmonious combination between beat box and street dance.


Another breaking team ‘Gamblerz Crew’ that is participating in the Korean Culture and Information Service’s Korean Culture Scene's touring performance in the UK has been making history in Korean breaking for the last 20 years since its foundation in 2002.

Gamblerz Crew has won international competitions more than 50 times, and is one of the teams that are at the forefront of the Korean b-boying Hallyu through its vigorous cultural exchange activities and breaking performances.
