The Korean Culture and Information Service held the ‘Korea-Vietnam Friendship Culture Day’ and the ‘Korean Literature and Theatre Festival’ until the end of October to promote various aspects of Korean culture in Vietnam.

In Belgium, a festival centered around concerts is taking place in Brussels and other major cities from September to December to offer the audience an opportunity to experience the origins of various genres of Korean music such as popular music, classical music, and traditional music under the theme <SOUND KOREA 2022: K-pop to K-Classic>.

The pop concerts by Black Swan, LEENALCHI, and Malo and the classical concert by Sunwook Kim and Clara-Jumi Kang were held with a huge success. There will be more concerts happening through December to further promote the diverse charms of Korean music including the Baudouin de Jaer & Joon-young Kim’s Geomungo concert, Kang Eun-il Haegeum Plus, and a concert by the Queen Elisabeth Competition winners, Jiyoung Lim and Hayoung Choi.

Invited to the Hungarian National Folk Heritage Festival as a guest of country of honor in August, we displayed the beauty of traditional Korean culture in Hungary.

It was a great opportunity to promote the excellence of traditional Korean culture through the events such as the exhibition of traditional Korean crafts, Korean culture experience booths, and traditional performances.

Besides, the <Korean Classic Days> was a great chance to introduce the unique Korean culture to the Hungarian locals by staging various genres of music performances that interpret traditional Korean culture and music from contemporary perspectives.

We will have an enthusiastic promotion of Korean culture from October to November with the <Festive Korea>, one of the biggest Korean culture festivals in Hong Kong that’s celebrating its 12th anniversary this year at the center of it all.
